Lots of interactive learning activities to cover Phase 2 of the Letters and Sounds scheme Teaching letters: A Power point presentation for each letter or grapheme in Phase 2-with slides to show the letter and letter formation and listen to the sound then interactive slides to choose initial sounds. Practising letter recognition: Five Power points which show different sets of letters for children to say them as they are shown. Teaching blending for reading: Four Power points for children to use the sound buttons to read each word. Practising blending for reading 1: Five Powerpoints such as 'What's in the hat' and reading words on bees and clicking on the correct flower. Two colourful initial sound bingo games In the set there are two sets of bingo game cards. Each set has 20 different bingo playing cards so they can be used for a whole class (the cards can be repeated for a larger class) or for group games. One bingo game has colourful pictures and other set has letters. The bingo games can be played in various ways- by calling a letter and the child covering a picture if it begins with that sound, by calling a letter and covering the letter on their board, by calling a picture and covering the initial sound letter or by calling a picture and covering that picture on their board. The calling cards can also be used in various ways- to play the bingo games, to play matching games to match pictures, letters or picture and initial sound, for phonics displays and many more ways. Also included in the pack is an activity sheet with details of these games and others that can be played using this resource. The bingo boards are approximately A4 size but by altering printer settings prior to printing you could print them larger or smaller.

Three colourful dominoes games Each set of dominoes has a different coloured border to help you put them back into the correct set although the sets could be mixed to make different dominoes games or ones with more domino pieces. One set of dominoes has the letters in alphabetical order and the other two have the letters in a mixed order. Each domino set has a different set of initial sound pictures used on them. Each domino has the initial letter sound and a coloured picture. The game is played in the conventional way with the children placing a domino piece which has a matching sound or picture next to the one already played. The domino pieces are sized six to an A4 page but by altering printer settings prior to printing you could print them larger or smaller.
